LabGenius Therapeutics

LabGenius is seeking a talented and driven Scientist – Phage Display to join its growing Antibody Discovery team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of phage display, molecular biology, automation, and data science, directly supporting therapeutic antibody discovery programs. As a Scientist at LabGenius, he/she will independently run phage-display discovery campaigns and contribute to generating high-quality antibody candidates for downstream characterisation and development.

With a mission to accelerate the development of next-generation therapeutic antibodies, LabGenius has pioneered EVA™. This is a smart, closed-loop robotic platform that can design, execute, and learn from its own experiments. By integrating machine learning, robotic automation, and synthetic biology, LabGenius is building a powerful discovery engine to evolve highly selective T-cell engagers and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of solid tumours and transforming how medicines are discovered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute phage display selections against recombinant proteins and target-expressing cells
  • Support lead discovery campaigns with minimal supervision
  • Apply a wide range of molecular biology techniques, including:
  • PCR
  • DNA purification
  • Restriction digestion and ligation
  • Golden Gate and Gibson assembly
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality experimental records using ELN/LIMS systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability
  • Analyse and interpret experimental data independently
  • Present findings clearly in team and project meetings, including recommendations on next steps
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including:
  • Functional assay development
  • Automation and robotics
  • Next-generation sequencing (NGS)
  • Molecular biology
  • Data science and machine learning

Qualifications Required

  • A PhD, or a BSc/MSc with 1–3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with phage display or other display technologies
  • Solid practical knowledge of molecular biology workflows
  • Experience working with electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and LIMS platforms
  • Comfort working in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced biotech environment
