Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Microbiology & Immunology
Stanford University’s Department of Microbiology & Immunology is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the University Tenure Line (UTL).
The department is seeking an outstanding scientist with a doctoral degree whose research addresses important and emerging questions across the broad fields of microbiology and immunology.
The department is particularly interested in researchers who bring innovative molecular, genomic, computational, systems-level, quantitative or theoretical approaches to important biological questions. The successful candidate will join Stanford University’s Department of Microbiology & Immunology as an Assistant Professor in the University Tenure Line.
The faculty member will be expected to establish an innovative and independent research programme that addresses important questions at the forefront of microbiology and/or immunology.

Candidates with interest in Microbial pathogenesis, Microbial symbiosis, Host-microbe interactions, Immune responses, Bacterial biology, Microbiome research, Viruses and bacteriophages, Molecular microbiology, Microbial genomics, Computational biology, Systems-level research, Quantitative and theoretical biology.
