This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position focused on developing and validating innovative phage-based biosensor technologies for the early detection of severe diseases using non-invasive clinical samples such as saliva and urine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Application Specialist will work at the intersection of microbiology, biotechnology, and diagnostics, contributing directly to next-generation biosensors targeting biomarkers associated with cancers, infectious diseases, and other critical health conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct research, experiments, and validations using the company\u2019s phage-biosensor platform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design and develop biosensors based on engineered phage constructs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform preparation and analysis of non-invasive and clinical samples (saliva, urine, blood)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and optimize in-vitro phage evolution processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze bioassays and validate results using complementary traditional diagnostic methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with external partners and clinical collaborators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer methods and protocols effectively between laboratories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Systems Biology, or a related discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong background in microbiology and biological assay development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hands-on experience with preparation and measurement of clinical or biological samples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to transfer and adapt laboratory protocols across different environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of biomarkers and their applications in medical diagnostics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Interest in disease biology, including cancers, infectious diseases, and neurological disorders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to adopt new methods, technologies, and measurement devices efficiently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in project management or coordinating research activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please send a free-form application, CV, and salary request by email to: <a><strong>jukka.holappa@aqbiotech.com<\/strong><\/a> with the subject title &#8220;<em>Application Scientist.
