Researchers with expertise in antibody discovery, protein engineering, biologics production, or recombinant antibody expression are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The successful candidate will work with cutting-edge antibody discovery platforms, high-throughput screening technologies, and advanced biologics development workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Associate Scientist in this position will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct antibody discovery using phage, yeast, and mammalian display technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build and screen high-diversity antibody libraries from synthetic and animal repertoires.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design and execute antibody discovery workflows to identify lead therapeutic candidates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate machine learning (ML)-based approaches for antibody sequence discovery and engineering (preferred).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply in-vitro display technologies for antigen screening and sequence selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) analysis to identify promising antibody sequences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate antibody libraries and optimize discovery pipelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop high-throughput mammalian cell expression platforms for recombinant antibodies and biologics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support molecular biology workflows, including construct design and antibody expression.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare high-quality plasmid DNA for mammalian cell transfection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establish transient and stable expression systems using CHO, HEK293, and related mammalian cell lines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purify recombinant proteins using AKTA chromatography systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform protein characterization using:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>HPLC-SEC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SEC-MALS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CE-SDS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polyreactivity ELISA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams on therapeutic antibody development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications &amp; Skills Required<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants should possess:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Immunology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biotechnology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molecular Biology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biochemistry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Microbiology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biomedical Sciences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Research Experience As:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree: 7+ years of research experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master&#8217;s Degree: 5+ years of research experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PhD: 2+ years of research experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates with experience in the following areas will be highly competitive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Antibody discovery platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phage display technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yeast display<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mammalian display systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protein engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recombinant antibody production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Library generation and screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molecular biology techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mammalian cell culture (CHO and HEK293)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AKTA protein purification systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HPLC Size Exclusion Chromatography (HPLC-SEC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protein characterization assays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-throughput biologics production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scientific project coordination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training and mentoring laboratory personnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For more phage-related research and job opportunities, check<a href=\"https:\/\/thephage.xyz\/jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\" here\"> here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St. Jude Children&#8217;s Research Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist in Antibody Discovery to join the Antibody Discovery Collaborative Centre (ADCC) within the Department of Host Microbe Interactions.
