{"id":9404,"date":"2026-09-05T11:42:17","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T11:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thephage.xyz\/jobs\/?post_type=job&#038;p=9404"},"modified":"2026-09-05T11:42:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T11:42:21","slug":"medical-technologist-mt-job-in-memorial-community-health","status":"publish","type":"job","link":"https:\/\/thephage.xyz\/jobs\/jobs\/medical-technologist-mt-job-in-memorial-community-health\/","title":{"rendered":"Medical Technologist (MT) Job in Memorial Community Health"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Memorial Community Health, Inc. is seeking a qualified <strong>Medical Technologist (MT)<\/strong> to join its hospital laboratory team in Aurora, Nebraska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Medical Technologist will work across multiple laboratory disciplines, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Serology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis and Phlebotomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The role involves performing laboratory testing, specimen collection and preparation, quality control activities, equipment maintenance and laboratory documentation while maintaining compliance with applicable healthcare and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Medical Technologist will be responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performing laboratory testing according to established procedures and protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working across multiple laboratory disciplines, including: Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Arterial Blood Gases, Urinalysis, Hemostasis, Transfusion Services, Serology, Molecular Diagnostics, Phlebotomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducting chemical analysis of blood, urine, stool and other body fluids to identify normal and abnormal components.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing specimen collection through venipuncture, capillary or finger stick, heel puncture and radial arterial blood collection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing patient specimens for laboratory testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating in continuous quality control and quality assurance activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring laboratory quality programs to help ensure accurate and reliable test results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing equipment and instrument maintenance according to established protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring laboratory supplies and maintaining adequate inventory levels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining a clean, organized and safe laboratory environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing and maintaining laboratory documentation and records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responding to emergencies and providing treatment as required within the Medical Technologist&#8217;s scope of practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting patient and staff safety throughout laboratory operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining patient and organizational confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following applicable federal and state regulations, hospital policies, safety requirements and infection-control procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complying with regulatory requirements applicable to Critical Access Hospitals and healthcare laboratory operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing additional duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications &amp; Skills Required<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates should meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or an equivalent field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion of an accredited Medical Technologist, CLS, MLS or equivalent program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience with laboratory equipment and an understanding of its proper use and limitations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work across multiple laboratory disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness and ability to cross-train in clinic and satellite laboratory locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge and practical understanding of:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clinical laboratory testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laboratory quality control and quality assurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laboratory equipment maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specimen collection and processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Healthcare safety and infection control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HIPAA and patient confidentiality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For more phage-related job openings, check <a href=\"https:\/\/thephage.xyz\/jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"here\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Memorial Community Health, Inc. is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT) to join its hospital laboratory team in Aurora, Nebraska.
