Open Rank Scientist (Phage display) at Novo Nordisk
Novo Nordisk Beijing, China is looking for an Open rank phage display Scientist. Successful candidates will be involved in shaping the future of cardiometabolic therapies by bringing their biophysics expertise to a team where scientific rigour meets groundbreaking discovery.
Roles for the position are:
- Field expert in protein and peptide engineering, production and QC with in-depth knowledge and experience.
- Generating protein and peptide compounds to enable NNRCC target discovery in cardiometabolic diseases and project progression up to the G0 milestone.
- Collaborating with and supervising Tech Scientist/Research Associate to advance relevant technology platforms and deliver project milestones.
- Act as technology coordinator/ project manager in a global matrix organisation
- Drive technology innovation in protein/peptide chemistry
- Building a strong scientific network within protein/peptide chemistry with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications for this position are
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or closely related scientific disciplines
- 6+ years of experience in display technologies and related skills, including phage display, mammalian cell display, molecular design, protein expression, engineering and QC, etc.
- Industrial experience in therapeutic protein and peptide discovery and development is required.
- AI assisted molecule design experience is a strong plus.
- Outstanding track record of creativity, independence, and scientific accomplishments in the field of protein/peptide drug development.
- Experience in small molecule chemistry and design principles is an advantage
- Automation experience is a strong plus
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a global setting is required
- Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team in a global setting
